It’s going to be a busy weekend in Saint Andrews By-the-Sea.
The Town is combining two festivals: the Bay of Fundy Seafood Festival and the ART-rageous Festival.
Deputy Mayor Brad Henderson says this is the seventh year for ART-Rageous, which celebrates everything art and culture in Charlotte County. Kingsbrae Garden has already hosted 550 kids from local elementary schools, and rotated them through art stations, a tour of the garden, and a magic show.
He says Saturday will be the big day for both festivals, “Kingsbrae Garden is completely free for admission, and we have two special guests. In addition, if the free admission isn’t enough, we have the Saint Andrews Farmer’s Market, which will be set up on Memory Lane from 11am to 4pm.”
Henderson says Buskers on the Bay, New Brunswick’s largest buskers festival will have performances throughout the day, as well as the Lobster Roll Palooza will be in Market Square, where you can purchase tickets for $15, eat from a very long lobster roll, and proceeds will go to the Vincent Massey Elementary School.
“There’s no better time to get a lobster roll than when you’re doing it for charity. It’s a gigantic lobster roll, taking up several tables. Even if it sells out, it is certainly something that’s worth going down to see.”
He adds the town will be filled with live music, competitions, special events, and plenty of seafood. “The downtown community is just vibrant with all the people in town, so if you haven’t been here yet to Saint Andrews, it’s a great time to get out”
