Grand Manan Crash Claims Nova Scotia Man

A Nova Scotia man has been identified after a fatal car accident on Grand Manan, New Brunswick.

Corporal Mario Maillet with the RCMP says they were called to the scene on Thursday around 8 p.m.

“The driver lost control, causing the vehicle to go off a seawall and it flipped onto its roof into the water.”

Maillet says they were able to remove the 64-year-old Barrington Passage man from the car and take him to hospital.

However, he later died due to his injuries.

Maillet says alcohol may have been a factor, but the crash is still under investigation.
