Students Create This Year’s Christmas Cards For School District

A couple of students in Anglophone South are leaving an artistic mark on Christmas 2017.

Six high schools took part in the annual contest to submit artwork for the holiday cards sent out by Anglophone South and by Norm Bosse, the provincial child and youth advocate.

Students submit designs and staff members that support the fine arts look at them all and select about twenty. Bosse also chooses from the top designs.

From there, staff at the annual holiday breakfast in the Saint John office vote using dots.

This year’s winner is Ally Buchanan who is in Grade 12 at Hampton High.

Norm Bosse chose Rothesay High Grade 11 student Mason Justason’s teddy bear artwork for his card.

Anglophone South sends out about 550 cards and the artist gets to keep some.
