Canadian Red Cross Helping Out After An Apartment Building Fire in Edmundston

The Canadian Red Cross is helping out some folks who have been temporarily displaced after a fire in a four-storey apartment complex in northern New Brunswick.

Six adults are temporarily homeless after the blaze in Edmundston, there were no injuries and at least one of the units was vacant.

Tenants from several other units were not affected by the smoke and water damage.

Red Cross disaster management volunteers handed out food and clothing vouchers and found emergency lodgings for a man and his adult son, and two women from another unit.

The cause of the fire is not yet known.
