The provincial government is spending $146,111 on patriotic decorations and giveaways for Canada 150.
Information from spokesperson Amanda Brown shows they paid $30,000 for the Canada150 NB website and online creative work (including online branding, posters etc).
However, she says the logo was created in-house and was not an added cost.
For promotional items, here are how the costs breakdown:
- 175,500 NB Paper Flags for a total cost of $70,650
- 300,000 Canada 150 NB Tattoos and 49,000 Window Decals for a total cost of $43,931
- 7,000 Canada 150 NB Balloons for a total cost of $1,530
The promotional items are intended for distribution during Canada Day, NB Day Celebrations, NB students, NB Public Library, SNB Offices, Municipalities and MLA’s.
