There have been a slew of complaints on social media about the water on the west side following the switch-over to the new wellwater source from the South Bay Wellfield.
West side councillor Blake Armstrong has confirmed to CHSJ News there is a report on this very issue forthcoming to Saint John council. He says personally he has received anywhere from 25 to 30 calls from residents on the water problems.
“Number one they’re asking questions about what the problem is, how come there’s some disclouration with their tea and the whitening on the pots — there’s scum on it…a couple people with leaky pipes,” Armstrong says.
“We have a report coming to council this Monday night to find out exactly what the situation is and for the residents to find out what cures we can do or whatever we can do to help alleviate the problem.”
