The Saint John Sea Dogs lost to the host Halifax Mooseheads 5-2 in the first of two back-to-back weekend games.
It’s the second loss in a row for the Sea Dogs, who are two points out of the league basement.
They’ll play Halifax again this afternoon at 3 p.m.

The 2018 NHL All-Star Skills Competition took place yesterday ahead of today’s All-Star Game.
Connor McDavid of the Edmonton Oilers won fastest skater, Alex Pietrangelo of the St. Louis Blues won the passing challenge, the Golden Knights’ Marc-Andre Fleury won the save streak, Calgary’s Johnny Gaudreau topped the puck control relay, Alex Ovechkin of the Washington Capitals had the hardest shot, and Brock Boeser of the Vancouver Canucks won the accuracy shooting event.
