Fatal Crash Near Salisbury

Southeast RCMP are investigating a fatal crash on the Trans Canada Highway near the Salisbury exit early Tuesday afternoon.

Police say a vehicle was heading eastbound when it left the road and went down an embankment about 2 km from the weigh scales.

The man and only occupant of the vehicle died.

The highway had a light snow cover at the time of the crash.

RCMP had reduced the highway to one lane in that area.

More details to come.
