12 million dollars in funding from Ottawa and Fredericton making the Field House project a reality. Work will begin at its future home at Exhibition Park Raceway this year with an opening planned for the fall of 2019.

Chair Bill MacMackin says this facility will allow the city to attract national sporting events. He says this facility will allow indoor soccer and track and field events to come to Saint John in the winter months that currently can’t come to New Brunswick.

It includes two indoor size turf fields, a 200 metre indoor track and a community centre that will be operated by the Saint John Regional Y.
