House sales in the Saint John region and Charlotte county last month were up 12-percent over last June according to local realtor Dave Cochrane with Remax.
Cochrane says the Kennebecasis Valley is the largest selling area in southern New Brunswick and 205 houses sold which is up. Hampton saw almost double what it saw a year ago while French Village was also up.
“Charlotte County, about the same sales as a year ago, Grand Bay was up. The west side had 33-percent more sales than a year ago, north end about the same, Millidgeville was down a little bit as was the east side of the city but only four houses. Barnesville, Willow Grove, St. Martins was up a bit,” says Cochrane.
The average price of house in the areas went up 6.7-percent on average last month from June of last year, from about $178,000 to about $190,000.
