Saint Johners living east of Reversing Falls are now drinking water from the new Loch Lomond drinking water treatment facility.
The project to bring in safe drinking water involved two years of construction and over 22 kilometres of upgrades to the City’s water transmission and distribution mains.
Getting the water to taps is called a major milestone in the nearly $217-million project.

It includes the building and operation of the new Loch Lomond Drinking Water Treatment Facility along with 26 kilometres of pipeline to renew the City’s existing transmission system, the renewal of three dams and new water intakes.
The facility can produce up to 75 million litres of drinking water a day and three new storage reservoirs can hold 33 million litres of water.
