Jessica MacPhee of Project Roar is a survivor of child sexual abuse. She says they buy body safety kits for parents, libraries and schools made up of books covering different subjects.
“Secrets, safe and unsafe touch, the importance of body boundaries and who to talk to if there was ever someone who crossed a body boundary and the feedback has been great from parents who has read these books with their children.” MacPhee says.
The other two charities who presented were CARMA Saint John, a cat rescue organization, and Camp Kerry Atlantic which helps families cope with the death of a loved one.
