The Lily Lake Pavilion will be short $50,000 dollars in funding after the cancellation of the Pavilion Cup Pond Hockey Tournament. Last year’s event was called off because of too much snow.
Deborah Lawton is the Community Program Coordinator who says the funding from the tournament goes towards senior programming, partnerships with schools and other community programs that are funded through the Lily Lake Pavilion.
She says some ideas are currently being looked into to be able to make the funding up through community based fundraising.
