A 36 year old man serving a 8 year sentence in Renous died over the weekend.
Anthony Goodfellow was found unresponsive in his cell on Saturday and staff members began performing CPR.
He was taken to a nearby hospital where was pronounced dead on Sunday.
Goodfellow had been serving time since 2007 for a number of offences included robbery, theft and assault.
The Correctional Service of Canada will review the circumstances of this death.
