New provincial regulations coming into effect on December 1st that will ban keeping your dog tied up round the clock and increase financial penalties for other violations that put their health and safety in jeopardy.
You won’t be able to tether your dog from 11 at night to 6 in the morning. The standards of care for farm animals will be updated as well.
The fine for letting your dog run loose will increase from the current level of 10 to 50 dollars all the way up to a minimum of 140 dollars and a max of 640.
