The Provincial Real Estate Association has a wish list for government as the fall vote approaches.
The Chair of the Governmet Relations Committee Robert Stewart says they want to see the double taxation on properties not occupied by owners to be removed.
Stewart says they would also like to see the government relaunch the Home Energy Enhancement Program where homeowners get a $5000 rebate for installing energy efficient doors, windows and heating systems. The realtors are looking for a new component that would utilise New Brunswick contractors with the energy efficient materials come from provincial distributors so the money stays within New Brunswick.
