Premier David Alward is visiting Saint John today, first making a jobs announcement at the Diamond Jubilee Cruise Ship Terminal before speaking at a FusionSJ luncheon at the Delta.
A Vancouver based information technology company, Appnovation Technologies, a Vancouver based IT company, will be opening up a strategic sales and development centre in the city with the creation of 63 fulltime jobs over the next three years. Appnovation CEO Arnold Leung tells CHSJ News they chose Saint John because it’s 4 hours from Vancouver and 4 hours from the UK. They specialize in helping companies build websites and applications.
They’ve already filled 7 positions and are looking for 12 more people this year. Invest NB will provide the company with a payroll rebate of up to $500,000 over five years as well as a forgivable loan of $230,000 for capital costs.
