Survey Asks Politicians About Petitcodiac River

The former Petitcodiac Riverkeeper is hoping politicians will offer their views on the future of the River.

A survey is being handed out to politicians in advance of next months election to find out whether or not they are supportive of the Petitcodiac River restoration project.

The survey asks whether politicians back a Stage 3 partial bridge on the causeway, and also whether they think the Greater Moncton community should have the final say to the disposal of wastewaters for the oil and gas industry into the river.

Daniel Leblanc says to this point most politicians have been very supportive of the restoration project.

Leblanc would like to see the responses returned by September 2nd, and from there they will be letting the public know how they responded..
