The Oromocto RCMP are investigating a 32 foot boat being sunk near the Cambridge Narrows wharf. It happened Monday shortly after 8:15 a.m. when someone called the RCMP to have them investigate the sunken craft..
Divers made sure there was no one in the power boat.
Witnesses reported it was last seen hooked to a buoy, not far from the wharf, the previous day. It was recovered 100 feet away from the wharf.
The Oromocto RCMP are asking anyone who may have seen something suspicious in the area to report that information to the Oromocto RCMP at 357-4300. You can also report anonymously through N.B. Crime Stoppers online at crimenb.ca or at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). If your information leads to an arrest, you could qualify for a cash award of up to $2,000.
