Quispamsis council giving the green light to food truck Awesome Sausauge to operate on town property for special events on a one-year trial basis.
Mayor Murray Driscoll tells us he believes the food truck will be an asset to the community and a business that will hopefully generate some revenue for a company. CHSJ News asked Mayor Murray Driscoll if he’s heard anything from businesses in the community for or against the mobile vendors and he says he is not aware of anything.
There was a heated backlash on social media this summer after Rothesay Mayor Bill Bishop made comments against having food trucks in the town saying they aren’t what Rothesay is about and added that the business community did not want them either.
Bishop did later apologize to those who found the comments offensive.
