A prolific author who wrote extensively about New Brunswick has died.
Dorothy Dearborn of Hampton was 85. She was a groundbreaker being the first woman in the province to run for Parliament in 1963. She also ran provincially when Louis Robichaud was Premier.
Dearborn donated her remains to the Dalhousie Medical School. Instead of a funeral service, a party will be held to celebrate her life a week from tomorrow afternoon at the River Centre in Hampton.
