The Liberal Party is promising to increase the number of new daycare spaces in this province by 25%, or 6,000 spaces, as well as provide additional assistance to parents of multiple births.
Speaking at a lunch hosted by the Chamber of Commerce, Brian Gallant described how his own grandparents came to Canada with 17 children, unable to speak English or French. He says they banded together to make their lives better, and that taught him the importance of hard work and family.
Gallant says they would also make daycare more affordable by doubling the funding for the Daycare Assistance Program.
