The Saint John Police Commission voting in a new executive at its latest meeting with Anne Marie Mullen, who was appointed by the Minister of Public Safety and Solicitor General, taking over as chair.
Nicole Paquet was named chair of the commission in January of last year and she tells us it’s been an interesting year. She says they were very successful in hiring Chief Bates, “so I think that’s really the highlight of our year.”
Paquet says Anne Marie Mullin has a lot of experience, saying she’s been on the New Brunswick Police Commission and is very familiar with the Police Act.
Jennifer Carhart has been named the secretary.
Paquet says it is in their bylaws to have executive elections every January.
