Demand For Ferry Service Grows

The low value of the loonie may not be all that great for those people who want to spend the winter in Florida but it’s turning out to be blessing for those people who depend on fishing to make a buck.

The demand for more ferry crossings between Digby and Saint John is because fish exports to the U.S. have increased due to the declining value of the Canadian dollar.

The extra crossings of the Fundy Rose will be at 2 in the afternoon from Saint John on fish export days which are Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. We’re told whether they continue beyond February will depend on demand.
