Over the last week, the Energy East pipeline project has been criticized and praised.
Tim DuBoyce of TransCanada says the company plans to examine a critical report from Montreal-area mayors and see how they can address their concerns.
While meeting in Toronto with Alberta Premier Rachel Notley, Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne said the project is more environmentally friendly now.
DuBoyce says the company is very happy to hear about support for the project.
He says that doesn’t mean that they stop discussing it or addressing any concerns that might come up.
Premier Brian Gallant says slow growth is one of the problems facing the Canadian economy and Energy East offers a big opportunity in terms of jobs creation and economic growth.
