Saint John Theatre Company Announces Two Touring Initiatives

The Saint John Theatre Company has announced two upcoming productions – with very different themes.

The SJTC will be developing educational programming in New Brunswickhigh schools to link up with 973, a silent production about the Holocaust which unfolds the narrative through the use of props and mime. It follows the story of the ocean liner St Louis, which carried 937 Jewish refugees from Germany in search of a new home. 973 will be toured in 13 high schools across the province. Two public performances will be held at the BMO Studio Theatre on Princess Street on April 18 and 19th.

In March, the SJTC will be putting on Every Good Boy Deserves Favour, a rarely-produced play by Tom Stoppard that features 6 actors and 31 musicians. They’re staging it as part of a special partnership with the New Brunswick Youth Orchestra.
