A house fire last night on Beach Drive in Rothesay during blizzard conditions. The fire was confined to a single room of the home but there was also smoke damage. Several family pets were saved from the home including birds and cats. Paramedics treated one person for smoke inhalation. No word on the cause of the fire.
There was another fire in the Valley……This one was called in shortly after 4:00 this morning from the Barnwood Pub. The fire was on the outside of the building where the awning and new sign are. It was doused quickly. There was limited damage to the inside of the building.
