City fire crews responding around 6pm to a fire in East Saint John.
A bbq caught fire at 589 Westmorland road spreading to the deck and the eaves of the house.
It was knocked down quickly, but left extensive damage to the home.
18 firefighters were on the scene and left just after 8pm.
Two people were in the home at the time of the incident and were unharmed.
The fire is under investigation, but is not believed to be suspicious.
