Once you get over the initial shock of getting a winning lottery ticket, there are a few steps to go through before you claim your money.
That’s according to Atlantic Lottery Corporation Win Experience Coordinator Danielle Pieroni.
She says the first thing you should do is contact them, and ensure you have signed your ticket. You can call the 1-800-561-3942 and you’ll have to fill out some forms, and go through a checklist to valid the ticket to ensure your are the big winner.
Your winnings can be paid out by cheque, which can take up to three hours or you can get your winnings via electronic funds transfer which is done over one to two business days.
