Saturday Morning Sports For October 6th

In the majors:

The American League divisional series began Friday night as Boston downed the Yankees 5-4 and Houston beat Cleveland 7-2.

Over in the NLDS, Colorado remains winless after a 4-0 loss to Milwaukee, while the Dodgers beat Atlanta 3-0 to take a 2-0 series lead.

In Q-League action:

The Saint John Sea Dogs fell to the Acadie-Bathurst Titan 7-1.

Yohan Plamondon scored the lone goal for Saint John.

In NBA pre-season action:

Toronto topped Melbourne United 120-82.

Norman Powell had a game-high 21 points for the Raptors.

In the CFL:

Winnipeg held off Ottawa in overtime with a 40-32 victory.

The UNB Saint John Seawolves football team is collecting winter boots and coats for Romero House during their game at 1 p.m. Saturday against UNB Fredericton.
