Wanted–Partridge Hearts

If you are a Partridge hunter in New Brunswick, a UNB researcher wants to hear from you.

Douglas Munn is conducting a study to find out if Ruffed Grouse and Spruce Grouse, commonly called partridge are causing an increase in Blacklegged Tick populations in 10 high-risk counties in New Brunswick.

Munn says they want partridge hunters to clean the birds then place the hearts only, into a ziplock plastic bag and contact him.

“Label that bag though, with the location, where it was shot, GPS coordinates would be great, but if we just get a road name and the town and the date it was harvested that would be good,” says Munn.

Munn will even arrange a pick up of these hearts you can reach him at douglas.t.munn@gmail.com, call 506-259-0948 with any questions or arrange a pick-up.
