The cause of a devastating fire on Prince Edward Street that destroyed two buildings including one that housed the Loyalist City Pawn Shop has been ruled as undetermined by fire investigators.
That’s because the damage was too severe according to Sergeant Jay Henderson of City Police who tells us the file, however, is still under investigation. Police had announced that they would be treating the fire as suspicious.
The fire broke out in the early morning hours of Sunday, February 1 and firefighters battled the blaze in bone-chilling temperatures.
The Prince Edward Square apartment building had to be evacuated because a buildup of water comprimised the electrical system and residents weren’t able to return until the heat was back on.
