UPDATED: Power Outage In Uptown

Saint John Energy reporting a power outage is affecting parts of the uptown including Union Street, Wentworth, Dorchester, Germain and Prince Edward Street.

An estimated thousand customers are without electricity.

The traffic lights are not working at Union and Waterloo Streets as well as Charlotte and King Streets. Police are directing traffic where the lights are out.

There’s no estimated time when the lights will be back on.

UPDATE: 1:47pm—SJ Energy says power has been restored to all but two customers. Those customers estimated restoration time is approximately two hours.
