Saint John High Mourns The Loss Of A Student

It’s a very sad end to the search for a missing Saint John teenager.

Wael Maatouk was reported missing on September 14th and Saint John police issued an appeal looking for help in finding him days later.

In a statement to students at Saint John high this morning, Principal Lori Wall let everyone know that Wael’s body was recovered by the police.

Wall says as they have little information, she thinks it’s important to keep Wael and his family in our thoughts.

She acknowledges the rumours going around but asks students not to engage in these conversations out of respect for his family.

She suggests any students who would like to speak to someone about this reach out to the teachers in the Saint John high guidance centre.
