It’s a first for the Port City.
Interaction School of Performing Arts is presenting Saint John’s first sensory-friendly performance next month at the Imperial Theatre.
It’s for their production of Jungle Book and will be held on November 9th at 10 am.
Please RT. This is an important initiative for families of sensory children (or sensory adults) and I am so proud to see @InterActionSPA leading the charge alongside @FriendlySensory . #SPD #SensoryFriendly #SaintAwesome @country94chsj #MakeSaintJohnSensoryFriendly pic.twitter.com/LpTRjKX5aB

A Facebook post details how this show will be different than the other three public performances as it will have lower sound and light levels.
The house lights in the theatre will be on and the audience can move around if they want to.
The sensory-friendly performance of the Jungle Book is made possible because of support from community sponsors including Community Living and Canaport LNG.
The organizers are touched and inspired by the support they received adding they were touched and inspired by the comments and private notes about how important this is for so many families.
