Councillor Lowe Fed Up With Train Whistles At East Side Crossings

City Councillor Gerry Lowe says people are getting fed up and losing sleep over the constant whistle blowing from the railway crossings at Thorne Avenue and Rothesay Avenue.

Lowe says the crossings are gated off and there really is no need for the whistles to go off at all, let alone overnight.

Lowe says it’s been an ongoing issue that’s now in the hands of NB Southern Railway on whether or not they’ll stop the train whistling.
