The new Chief of Police John Bates tells CHSJ news he and his wife are both excited to be moving to the Maritimes.
Bates says they’ve vacationed in the Maritimes for some time now and the job offer was as though the stars were aligning for them.
Bates is currently serving as Chief of Police in Stratford, Ontario.
He will become the new Chief of Police here in Saint John, effective November 9th.
