Point Lepreau will be taken temporarily offline today for repairs.
It’s the same issue that affected the station’s production in early june.
The repairs are estimated to take roughly three weeks and will enable the station to return to full power when reconnected to the grid.
The cost of replacement power will be in the millions, but less than the winter time when more electricity would be used.
