Big Swim Raises Money For Sick Children

It’s known as “The Big Swim”.

Fifty-four swimmers will take a dip in the Northumberland Strait in an effort to raise money and send sick children to summer camp.

Swimmers will leave Cape Jourimain, N.B. bound for to Borden-Carleton, P.E.I.

It’s a 14 kilometres trek.

The youngest swimmer is 12 year-old Brooklyn Douthwright of Riverview, N.B. while the oldest is 70 year-old Ron Allen of Dayspring, N.S..

Each swimmer will have a kayaker for guidance and support.

It’s the fourth year for “The Big Swim”.
