UPDATED: Two People Taken To Hospital After Stabbing In North End

Major Crime is investigating after a 16-year-old girl was arrested in connection with a stabbing in the city’s North end.

Sergeant Lori Magee of City Police says the Major Crime Unit and Forensics was called to the scene on Cranston Avenue this morning. A 20-year-old man and a 17-year-old girl were taken to hospital with serious injuries but they are expected to survive. It’s not known at this time if the victims will need surgery.

The 16-year-old girl taken into custody has been charged with assault causing bodily harm but the charge may be amended.
