This is one of the longest federal election campaigns in modern history, so those eligible to vote on October 19th will have plenty of time to ensure they are registered.
Elections Canada spokesperson Diane Benson says most voters will already be registered but you may also have to make some changes.
“If any of your information has changed though, like you have moved, or your address, or your name has changed… maybe you have gotten married… you want to go on and change that information and you can do that online,” she notes.
If you are unable to make the changes on the Elections Canada website, Benson adds you can also visit your riding’s local returning office.
