A home in St. Stephen is now a total loss after a blaze this morning.
Firefighters from St. Stephen and Calais responding to a chimney fire, at a home next to Humphrey’s Funeral Home in St. Stephen, around 1am, battling temperatures near minus 30 at the time.
When crews arrived, firefighters say the house was fully engulfed in flames.
A family of four, including two children, were able to escape the home without injury.
Firefighting crews were on the scene until about 5 am.
