One Injured In Five-Vehicle Crash

A five-vehicle crash behind Harbour Station shut down Highway 1 in both directions for about an hour on Wednesday morning.

Sgt. Mike Damon with the Saint John Police Force said the collision happened in the eastbound lanes around 7:30 a.m.

Damon told our newsroom one of the vehicles involved was a transport truck.

He said one woman was taken to hospital with what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries.

The highway was reopened to traffic around 8:30 a.m. and the cause is still being investigated.
