The rumours have been around for years, but now, it’s a reality for St. Stephen.
The new Visitor Information Centre is going to be built right beside the brand new Irving station.
Charlotte-Campobello MLA John Ames says the provincial government is partnering with Irving Oil for the project. “The new Visitor Information Centre will occupy 2000 square feet of space in it’s new development, which will be located at the site of the old DTI Garage, across from the St. Stephen High School, here in town.”
The new VIC will be built alongside the new Irving Big Stop, which is set to open very early next year.
Ames says for every dollar invested in promoting the province as a tourism destination, there is a return of $3.50 that can be invested towards job creation and helping families.
