Sgt. Evan Scott of the KV Regional Police says motorists are also dealing with a continuing construction season.
He says you can have flaggers in the construction zone and crossing guards walking the kids across the road adding to the distractions while driving right now.
Scott says in the KV, a lot of parents are dropping their kids off as they make their way to the city for work adding to the congestion around school zones.
He also warns that officers can double the fines in school zones if they see you break the law.
