A fast-food joint at 159 McAllister Drive was evacuated around 9:45pm after employees noticed a haze in the restaurant, as well as an electrical smell.
According to Acting Platoon Chief Roy Byers crews arrived to find an overheated light valve in the kitchen area.
The fixture was isolated and the restaurant was briefly evacuated before being turned back over to the workers.
No one was hurt.
