Waterfront Essential To Future Identity of City

The waterfront will play a key role in the future of Saint John and the development of the uptown — that from Deputy Commissioner of Planning and Development Jacqueline Hamilton.

She tells CHSJ News it’s a key focus in Plan SJ’s new municipal plan.

She says Plan SJ wants to reconnect the waterfront with the uptown with a focus on public access and mixed-use development.

Hamilton says the waterfront is the heart of the city and a critical part of the identity and future potential of Saint John.
