Things are not good in the RCMP right now and it’s getting more difficult to attract the best and brightest.
That claim being made by retired RCMP officer Rob Creasser who’s with the Mounted Police Professional Association. Creasser has a 22 year old son who wants a career in law enforcement and admits he can`t recommend that he join the RCMP.
The Supreme Court has given the federal government until May to pass new legislation that will grant collective bargaining rights to RCMP members.
The Mounted Police Professional Association says the new labour relations legislation tabled by the federal government doesn’t go far enough and wants to see it amended.
