Some big trades in the NFL…….Seattle has acquired tight end Jimmy Graham from New Orleans……St. Louis traded quarterback Sam Bradford to Philadelphia in exchange for quarterback Nick Foles and cornerback Darrelle Revis is headed back to the New York Jets in a five year, 70 million dollar deal.

In the NHL, Tampa Bay shut out Montreal in overtime 1-0…..Ryan Spooner scored twice as Boston defeats Ottawa 3-1…..The Bruins have won three straight and six of their last eight games…..The Rangers got by the Islanders 2-1 on Rick Nash’s 39th goal of the season…..Los Angeles moving closer to playoff contention with a 5-2 win over Colorado while Winnipeg loses to St. Louis 5-4…..Minnesota, Columbus and Dallas won.

In Major Midget hockey, the Saint John Vitos have been eliminated from the playoffs after losing to the Fredericton Canadiens 4-1.

The Mill Rats extending their playoff series with a convincing 128-107 win over the Island Storm to send the Atlantic Division semi final to a deciding Game 5 tomorrow night in Charlottetown.

In the NBA, the Raptors lost to San Antonio 117-107 and the Los Angeles Lakers were eliminated from making the playoffs despite a 93-85 win over Detroit. This is the earliest the Lakers have been eliminated from playoff contention since the move to Los Angeles decades ago.

Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Marcus Stroman will miss the entire season because of a torn A-C-L in his knee.
