Walking students versus bussing students, that was a topic of discussion in the New Brunswick legislature yesterday.
Students must live more than 2.4 kilometres from school in order to be able to get a bus. School Superintendents have the ability to make exceptions if needed.
Green Party Leader David Coon raised the issue, after a number of parent and teacher complaints, that children are walking too far in cold and snowy conditions.
Education Minister Serge Rouselle says they are reviewing the policies, to determine whether or not changes need to be made.
